Purported Vodafone BlackBerry Storm screen shots emerge

Thursday 25 September 2008 @ 10:58 pm

Filed under: Cellphones We’ve seen most everything about the BlackBerry Storm that Verizon wanted us to see , but this is the first real (clear) glimpse at what the UI is apt to look, taste and smell like whenever it decides to ship. Of course, we’d still caution you to take all of this with a grain of salt until Vodafone comes clean, but the screen shots captured in the read link do look fairly believable

Filed under: Cellphones Hot on the INNOV8’s trails comes another 8-megapixel phone out of Samsung’s frighteningly fast-paced labs, this one dubbed M8800 Pixon (is it just us, or does that sound like a great name for an alien life form?).

DIY – How to Make an Electric Go-Kart! (or is it Go-cart!)

Thursday 25 September 2008 @ 8:36 pm

I will probably never figure out the original name for Go-Karts but here’s a really cool DIY electric go-kart someone has made and you might want to refer it if you want to make your own in the near future. This year, the Summer Engineering Workshop team was interested in making an electric go-kart. (Some kind of obsession with things you can ride…) But to make things more interesting, we decided to add a 110F ultracapacitor into the mix.

Hollywood Teams with AT&T and Others In Possible Packet-Filtering Coalition [Copyright Protection]

Thursday 25 September 2008 @ 8:00 pm

Some of you P2P fans may want to know about a new coalition called Arts + Labs. It may sound like some kind of open-source hippie think tank, but it’s actually a powerful alignment of film and music copyright owners (NBC Universal, Viacom and the Songwriters Guild of America) and tech firms and ISPs (Microsoft, Cisco Systems and AT&T ). It’s a group that could put together a pretty serious anti-piracy system without much trouble
