Filed under: Cellphones We’ll be honest — KickStart just had a nicer ring to it, but we suppose Pearl Flip will do. RIM’s long-awaited (and not-at-all veiled ) BlackBerry flip phone has finally arrived, weighing just 3.6-ounces and boasting a 320 x 240 internal display, Bluetooth 2.0, built-in multimedia player, 802.11b/g WiFi and a SureType keypad. The battery promises four hours of talk time / over a fortnight of standby life, and while pricing and exact release details are still hush-hush, Americans can count on seeing it “this fall” exclusively on T-Mobile .

Filed under: HDTV , Home Entertainment While rumors have been flowing hot and heavy about VUDU’s possible demise, it seems the company has other plans in mind. We’ve received word that select beta team members are now being asked to try out new downloads that are intended to rival Blu-ray quality. Dubbed HDX movies, these ultra-high-def flicks are currently being watched by folks willing to wait a number of hours (two to three) for a film to start, but there’s no guarantee that we’ll ever see this hit the masses.

Filed under: Gaming This toaster may only have one setting, but that setting is NES, and that’s good enough for us. Created by the same console modder behind the monstrous Super Genintari , this project is certainly a good deal less ambitious than that endeavor, but it hits all the right marks nonetheless, including a functional front lever that acts as a power switch, and some red LEDs that light up your cart but probably won’t do much for your toast. Be sure to hit up the link below for plenty more pics and a look at the complete build process
